The first ceremony of the 2020 Hagiwara Shachu was held on January 19 at 10:30.
First, we were served "Hanabira-mochi" (flower petal rice cakes) made by Mannomiya at the waiting area, and then we went to our seats using the stone wash basin. The axis of this seat was "Fukuju Mujinzou".
The first ceremony was a Koicha (thick tea) ceremony, in which all the guests were served Koicha of "Shogyoku" from Shogyokuen.
Then, the tea ceremony was moved toUsucha (light tea), and the host and hantou changed, and "Celebration White" from Shogyokuen was served.
After the tea ceremony at the main tatami room, we moved on to the table room, where Tana's preference was the Misono-dana, was served the "Koshinoyuki," one of the three most famous confections in Japan, from Yamatoya in Niigata, and tea was "Chigi-no Shiro," from Koyamaen, which was served on the Washin-dana, which was preferred by Zabousai.
A celebration luncheon was then held in the dining room. I wish everyone a happy new year.
We've got a great group of beautiful women helping out - a group that can be counted on to be there in the shadows and in the sun!
I look forward to working with you.
