March 3rd, Doll's Festival. It is a very, very happy day even for us Obasan, no matter how old we are !! Every year March comes early, early, early, every year it comes in a rush. We feel so happy to take the dolls out of the boxes like this. I even feel like the box containing the dolls is getting heavier and heavier every year. In March, we use tsuri-gama, a kettle with a iron chain, because in March we have cold and warm days, and the temperature can be adjusted by moving the chain up and down. This is the wisdom of our ancestors. Today's sweets are three layers of Ukijima, floating islands. The flowers are peach blossoms from my garden. They are very cute !!!
