American TV Shows

The Robert Handa Show

The story was told to me in April 2019. I was told that NBC, one of the major TV stations in the U.S., had won the rights to broadcast the Tokyo Olympics this year. I was asked to introduce the Japanese tea ceremony as part of the introduction of Japan.

I was told that they would introduce the Japanese tea ceremony as part of their introduction of Japan.

We were told that the schedule was full for the next 6 months, so the shooting at our house was on October 1st.

Three cruises came to our house and filmed a tea ceremony on tatami mats, and then went outside to film a tea ceremony on the Misonotana.

After that, they went outside and filmed a tea ceremony at the Misonotana. We were very grateful. It took three hours to film and was broadcast on the Robert Handa Show at NBC Studios in San Jose. The recording was aired for 6 minutes.
